Leanne D. Baldwin News

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the new home of my blog! Come on in, make yourself at home. Excuse the lack of seating – you know how it is when you first move in and you can’t find the furniture for a few days.

Just to clarify the “who” and “what” of the situation, my name is Leanne D. Baldwin, and I’m a freelance writer. I’ve been writing for a long time – often for pay! Yay! – and I’m currently hard at work on my first novel.

I’ve also been finding some inspiration lately by entering a couple of writing contests, something I intend to pursue more vigorously in the future, because I have found it  both creatively stimulating and childishly exciting.

(I did manage to place seventh in the finals of a screenwriting competition recently, and it was truly a rush! Now I’m in the beginning stages of a flash fiction contest and looking forward to seeing how far I can go in that.)

I have every intention of making this blog a veritable fountain of valuable knowledge, profound insights, and life-changing inspiration. On the days when I can’t quite scale those lofty heights, I hope it will at least prove entertaining.

But enough about me. Tell me a little about yourself. Come on, don’t be shy…

  1. Hi! Congrats on starting your blog. My name is Crystal and I’m a fellow Campaigner (just signed up this morning)! I haven’t been lucky enough to get published just yet, but I’m working hard at it! Lol… I’m looking forward to getting to know you and everyone else during the campaign! 🙂

    • Hi Crystal, and welcome aboard! I’m really excited about the Campaign, too, and about getting connected with so many other writers like you.

Just visited your blog this morning. Love the look! And it reminded me that I need to display the Campaign badge on my blog!

  2. Hi Leanne, So nice to meet you through the Campaign over at Rachael’s site. You sound like a fascinating writer. I look forward to learning more about you. I hope you’ll stop by my site as well. I, too, write a variety of genres and am proud to have two novels — one published (and un-) — under my belt.

    • Hi, Katie! Welcome aboard! I have visited your blog, but only briefly (I’m getting ready for the day job). Looks like you have a very interesting site and I’m looking forward to spending more time with you. And congratulations on having a novel published! I hope I will one day emulate you in that, lol.

  6. People experiment with their looks, clothes and accessories, yet they forget to personalize their computers
and gadgets. Quite a few satellite Tv businesses have an world wide web service that they deliver for mostly free online Tv.
Desktop wallpapers are a great way to personalize your desktop background.
